چکیده

If R-parity is not conserved, the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) could decay via lepton number violating or baryon number violating interactions. The latter case is particularly insidious since it leads to a reduction of the E/T as well as leptonic signals for supersymmetry. We evaluate cross sections for jets plus E/T , 1`, 2` (same-sign and opposite sign) and 3` event topologies that result from the simultaneous production of all sparticles at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), assuming that the lightest supersymmetric particle Z̃1 decays hadronically inside the detector via R-parity violating interactions. We assume that these interactions do not affect the production rates or decays of other sparticles. We examine the SUSY reach of the LHC for this “pessimistic” scenario, and show that experiments at the LHC will still be able to search for gluinos and squarks as heavy as 1 TeV, given just 10 fb−1 of integrated luminosity, even with cuts designed to explore the canonical SUSY framework with a conserved R-parity. Neutralino decays at the CERN LHC

We study the distribution of lepton pairs from the second lightest neutralino decay χ̃2 → χ̃1ll. This decay mode is important to measure the mass difference between χ̃2 and the lightest neutralino χ̃ 0 1, which helps to determine the parameters of the minimal supersymmetric standard model at the CERN LHC. We found that the decay distribution strongly depends on the values of underlying MSSM paramet...

Lightest - Neutralino Decays in R p - violating Models with Dominant λ ′ and λ Couplings

Decays of the lightest neutralino are studied in R p-violating models with operators λ ′ LQD c and λLLE c involving third-generation matter fields, and with couplings λ ′ and λ of O(1). Generalizations to decays of the lightest neutralino obtained when other subdominant λ ′ and λ couplings are present are straightforward. Both types of decays are considered: those with an almost massless final ...

The role of electroweak penguin and magnetic dipole QCD penguin on hadronic b Quark Decays

This research, works with the effective Hamiltonian and the quark model. Using, the decay rates of matter-antimatter of b quark was investigated. We described the effective Hamiltonian theory which was applied to the calculation of current-current (Q1,2), QCD penguin (Q3,…,6), magnetic dipole (Q8) and electroweak penguin (Q7,…,10) decay rates. The gluonic penguin structure of hadronic decays ...

Gravitino Dark Matter in the CMSSM and Implications for Leptogenesis and the LHC

In the framework of the CMSSM we study the gravitino as the lightest supersymmetric particle and the dominant component of cold dark matter in the Universe. We include both a thermal contribution to its relic abundance from scatterings in the plasma and a non–thermal one from neutralino or stau decays after freeze–out. In general both contributions can be important, although in different region...

Three-body decays of χ̃1 in R/p models with dominant λ and λ′ couplings

Decays of the lightest neutralino are studied in Rp-violating models, with operators λ′LQDc and λLLEc involving third-generation matter fields and with dominant λ′ and λ couplings. Decays with the top-quark among the particles produced are considered, in addition to those with an almost massless final state. Phenomenological analyses for examples of both classes of decays are presented. No spec...
